Greek cuisine centers around olive oil, and while the Kalamata is traditionally a table olive, it can grace the plate as a delicious olive oil. This blend of Greek varietals is named for the “Taverna” - traditionally a small restaurant in Greece. Greek olive varietals are grown in artisanal quantities in California and offer a true taste of the Mediterranean. Blending them with a small amount of Tuscan olives livens up the rich, grassy undertones of this Greek oil, creating a refreshing taste of Greece here in California.
Usage Notes: Use this olive oil with antipasti, marinated Greek olives, your favorite bread, naan, fresh salads, cheese boards, Thanksgiving turkey, roasted and sweet potatoes, and don't forget Brussel sprouts and haricots verts!
