Unknown among mainstream varietals, Counoise is often used to develop aromatic complexity in Rhône blends. After our first Counoise harvest and as this wine developed, we fell in love with the flavor profile as a varietal on its own.
Our Alder Springs Counoise boasts flavors of raspberry, rhubarb and bright cherry, with a slight oak finish that smells sweet and gives off scents of caramel. This wine will open with age and be a true crowd pleaser.

Serve Counoise with grilled or roasted meats, fish, chicken, hearty sausages and stew. It is also delicious with pork, given its richness, and we love this wine with aged cheddar.
