2019 Stone Soup Blanc
Stone Soup Blanc is our sister wine to Stone Soup Red. If you love Rhône white blends, this wine combines Roussanne, Viognier, and Marsanne grown in our rocky soils on our estate. We harvest these varietals together, hand-sort, press, and ferment them to create a field blend - a centuries-old practice that makes complexity and structure. To blend the best of Old and New World wine styles resulting in a stunning wine.
The aromatics include lemon meringue, key lime pie, a touch of honey, and hazelnut, while the flavors take in mandarin orange, honeycomb, and sweet citrus. This wine has a beautiful balance of fruit and oak with a lingering finish.
2021 Michelle Rosé
Rosé only became a part of the Trattore repertoire when Michelle challenged Tim to produce one. It took betting her wages on pink wine, and the gamble paid off beyond all expectations. The release of our first Rosé in 2010 was awarded the New York International Rosé of the Year. In her honor, the tradition continues today, and the bottle bears her name. Our 2021 Rosé is bright and elegant, with a delicious rhubarb, strawberry nose, and hints of peach and citrus on the palate finishing with nice acidity. This Rosé will be the center of any celebration, especially this spring and summer!
Our Appellation Series wines honor varietals grown from beautiful appellations in and around Sonoma County. Our newest Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Red Hills appellation, which lies along the southwestern shores of Clear Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in California. Designated Lake County's newest AVA in September 2004, Red Hills sits at the foot of the ancient volcano Mount Konocti and extends from Big Valley on the west to Excelsior Valley on the east.
Downtown was created with our in-town tasting room in mind - celebrating the casual yet stylish town of Healdsburg that lends itself to this easy-drinking yet refined wine. We love this wine for its big cherry and plum aroma on the nose with concentrated and nuanced dark berry and black currant on the palate, making this a soft yet full-bodied wine with firm ripe tannins and a sweet oak flavor. It has lovely acidity making this an age-worthy wine you can enjoy now or cellar for up to 5 years. Savor the flavors of Downtown!
